Privacy Please

Many days I think that October 29th 2003 was seriously just yesterday. I am pretty sure this is true...and then reality slaps me in the face. Today was no exception. My sweet little baby girl, my first born, the one that made me a mommy. That little baby is growing up and it seems like it is going by so quickly. This morning Addison, Macy and I were in Addie's room playing and singing to some music on the radio while I hung up some clothes in the closet. Addison decided it was time to get dressed for the day and that is when it happened....this baby of mine asked us to please excuse her while she gets dressed. WHAT?!?!? Did I hear her correctly? So I said, oh, Addie I am your mom...it is not a big deal. To which she calmly replied, I just need a little privacy to get dressed please. What can I say to that? I am proud of her that she is working on her modesty but this interaction hit me like a ton of bricks. It was such a "big girl" moment, a "big girl" though and a "big girl" request. Where or where did the time go?????
